MN Environmental Services Limited was founded by
Deola Asabia and
Jife Williams after what they describe as the
"Obalende experience."
During a health and environmental awareness program in the Obalende
community, an urban slum in Lagos State. They discovered that many residents lived in
single-room accommodation with shared facilities.
When nature called and the residents couldn’t wait their turn, many resorted to relieving
themselves in bags, which were then discarded into the drains.
After consulting with different stakeholders, we installed a public convenience
facility that served both the community and commuters.
MN Environmental Services Ltd is committed to bridging the infrastructural gap in basic
sanitation and hygiene across Lagos State, where
70% of the 24 million population lack
access to safe sanitation. Through our
pay-for-service model, we ensure access to clean, well-maintained public
toilets in high-traffic areas like bus parks and markets. We also integrate hygiene awareness
programs and employ biodigester technology for eco-friendly waste treatment.
